Tragic Hero: Ehigie Dies a Brave Man, Saving Lives From Kidnappers in Edo Forest On Easter afternoon, a courageous young man named Ehigie, a wood saw operator and hunter from Udo-Eguare, made the ultimate sacrifice in a selfless act of bravery. While navigating the forest in the course of his work, Ehigie unexpectedly encountered a group of armed kidnappers holding several innocent people captive. Without hesitation, he fired a warning shot, causing the kidnappers to panic and scatter temporarily. This bold action allowed him to rescue eight kidnapped victims and lead them toward safety through a familiar escape route. However, the kidnappers regrouped and turned their aggression on Ehigie. Unable to harm him with gunfire, they resorted to attacking him with heavy woods. Despite his resistance, he was overpowered and tragically killed.
